Gunn-Elin Aa. Bjørneboe

Director at the University of Oslo (Norway second largest institution for higher education, approx. 27.000 students). Previously Assistant Director of «The Norwegian Directorate for Health and Social Affairs» and Director of «National Nutrition Council». She has also done research at the Institute for Nutrition Research at the University of Oslo. She is a Professor at both the University of Oslo and the University of Tromsø. She is an educated physician and holds a professorial in nutrition.

Carl Otto Løvenskiold

High profile businessperson and landowner (one of the largest forest owners in Norway). He is the owner and CEO of Løvenskiold-Vækerø AS, a family business that owns among other things a large «DIY retail chain». Previously president of «Virke», one of the larger Norwegian employer organization. He has also held other important board positions, for example  European DIY Retail Association. Løvenskiold has an MBA degree from INSEAD (France).

Tord Dale

Special advisor at «Footprint». A firm working on strategic communication and strategy regarding environmental issues (“the Green Shift”). He has a background as political advisor and State Secretary in the government, notably in the Ministry of Health and Care Services. He has also had other position in communication and politics. He completed an education in nursing and holds a Master of Management from BI, the Norwegian Business School.

Maja-Lisa Løchen

Professor of Preventive Medicine, UiT The Arctic University of Norway, Tromsø and Consultant Cardiologist, University Hospital of North Norway. She has had a number of honorary appointments in research and prevention, notably as chair of the Norwegian national council for tobaccoprevention. She has published more than 100 scientific articles.

Odd Gulbrandsen

Formerly Vice president of NTNU Technology Transfer AS. One of Norways leading technology transfers units. He also had the position as CEO of Mison AS, and held different positions at Siemens Electrical heating AS. He has extended experience in commercializing research. He completed an education in teaching, and the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in special needs education. Attended the Economic University College in Trondheim and participated in a Top Management programme during his time at Siemens AS.

Assistant CEO of Stavanger municipality (Norway’s fourth largest city municipality) and former director for Upbringing and Living Conditions. He worked for many years in Norwegian folk high schools, primarily as headmaster, and had several national appointments associated with Norwegian and Nordic folk high schools. He also held positions such as Health and Social Services Manager and Chief Administrative Officer. A qualified educator, with additional focus in the field of science and social studies, as well as public administration.

Håvard Aagesen

Håvard Aagesen

Former communications director of the «Norwegian Shipowners’ Association». He is the former political adviser to the Minister for Development in 2000-200, and have also had other position in communication. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2009. He has written a book about his experiences and in particular his life after cancer treatment. He has personally fronted a campaign on late effects after cancer. He has a degree in political science from the University of Oslo.

Line Bjørge

Section Chief Physician and Professor, Women’s Clinic (KKB), Haukeland University Hospital (HUS), Bergen. Department of Clinical Medicine – Obstetrics and Gynaecology section, University of Bergen (UiB). She has a broad clinical and research background, and has published a substantial number of articles. Bjørge is also the leder of the Norwegian Oncology Forum (a meeting place for Norwegian oncologist).

Else Støring

Special advisor in the strategy and analysis section in the Norwegian Cancer Society. Educated as a specialist oncology nurse, with eleven years’ experience as specialist nurse and head nurse at the gynaecology department of the Norwegian Radium Hospital. Has also worked as a clinical research nurse at the same hospital. She has also served as the head of the Norwegian Cancer Society’s cancer support service.

Julie Holte-Ambjørnsen

Legal Advisor for Tromsø municipality. Previous experience as an advisor with NAV and a project coordinator for Oslo municipality. She earned a master’s degree in law in 2011, from the University of Oslo, and completed a programme in political science at Agder University College. She has been doing voluntary work as a legal advisor for cancer patients.

Arvid Hallén

He currently works as a board member and consultant and is associated with OsloMet – Oslo Metropolitan University. He is chairman of the board of the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences and of JPI Oceans in Brussels, and is a member of the board of Copenhagen Business School. Hallén was Director General of the Research Council of Norway from 2004 to 2017, and has a been a well known figure in the debate regarding research strategies in Norway for more than a decade. He graduated as a sociologist from the universities of Oslo and Bergen.

Special advisor in The Norwegian Cancer Society’s regional office in Midt-Norge. Previously worked with corporate social responsibility in the finance industry and crime and drug prevention work.
